1. Derive the expected consequences of forest management practices for climate-sensitive matrix model confronting the U.S. Central Appalachian Region forests in terms of timber volume, biomass, carbon storage etc.
2. Include climate change in the matrix model to assess impacts on forest population dynamics and composition under natural wildfire disturbance in the Central Appalachian Region forests.
3. Implement a comparative life cycle assessment (LCA) to quantify the carbon footprint of different management practices under risk and uncertainty.
4. Work on both deterministic and stochastic managements of the Central Appalachian Region forests and their ecological and economic effects.
5. Collect biodiversity data once every two months in West Virginia of USA.
